The seed was planted for Redneck Runway when one of Cindi’s editors observed that she the only person at Fashion Week with a tractor. Not long after, Angie and Cindi -- who have been best friends for 25 years -- started kicking around ideas for covering the Western lifestyle they both love so much, since the mainstream fashion world largely ignores Western fashion. So the best friends formed BFF Media (awwwww) and Redneck Runway was born.

Our mission is simple: To make the kind of stuff we’d want to see. We produce fun, informative videos that will help you get dressed for the Western lifestyle.

Cindi Nellis
Cindi has written about fashion for About.com (a New York Times Company) for the past 11 years, and was a fashion buyer before that. She also blogs for StyleGoesStrong.com (an NBC Universal company) and has written for the Dallas Morning News.  But what she REALLY wants to be when she grows up is a barrel racer. She lives with her 3 kids, husband, 7 dogs, who knows how many show goats and horses on a ranch in East Texas. Her wardrobe is a crazy mix of New York chic (a.k.a. head-to-toe black) and Western. Her most prized piece of clothing is an amazing silk fringed top that is just like the one Cher (her idol) wore in concert. She loves cowboy boots, jeans, blingy belts and silver jewelry.

Angela Patterson
Angela has owned and managed a successful medical/insurance business for the past 8 years. Angela worked at several Dallas magazines doing everything from advertising sales to writing and editing. She loves photography and has an eye for production. Angela is an avid blogger and currently writes about Dallas for About.com, which is a New York Times company. She grew up in the family’s farming/ranching business doing everything from dieseling up a tractor and plowing 14 hours a day to working cattle horse-back. She owns several thousand acres of ranchland complete with a pecan orchard in the middle and she enjoys dove hunting. Angela’s fashion philosophy can be summed up as “Texas-style accessorizing." She owns an arsenal of guns as well as authentic turquoise jewelry.
